Some people are born gifted with a Vision and Leadership, Sir Nisar Ahmed Chaudhry (late) was one of them. Since a young age, he had a Vision, a vision to educate the children of Pakistan so they become better citizens of our society and can contribute their services to make a better Pakistan.
In 1981, Sir Nisar Ahmed Chaudhry (late) along with Mrs. Rashida Nisar Chaudhry went to Singapore on a three-month course to educate themselves in the Singaporean Education system, which is still considered as one of the best schooling systems in the world. Mr. Chaudhry returned more ambitious than ever. In February of 1982, he opened Shaheen Public School with two students in the Play House class.
He chose the name Shaheen Public as his vision was to take the education in the city to new heights.
Within no time, the school was at its capacity and went through an expansion phase with the opening of the second building next to the main campus.
The quality of education offered by Shaheen kept growing the demand for capacity and Shaheen Campus 2 in Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 7, was opened in 1987. Sir Chaudhry didn't stop there; he opened another state of the art campus (Campus 3) in Gulistan-e-Jauhar in 1997.
Sir Chaudhry continued with his vision, in 1999, he introduced the Cambridge O-Levels at Shaheen along with the Matriculation education. As Shaheenian’s were passing out from the Matric and O-Levels, he saw this unmet need to offer higher level education to the Shaheenians and in 2005, Shaheen Public got its affiliation with the Karachi Intermediate Board, and Shaheen College came into being.
Mr. and Mrs. Chaudhry instilled their passion for high-quality education and its importance in their children from a young age. As soon as their children completed their Master’s degree, they started following in their father’s footsteps and got involved in the school's management.
Sir Chaudhry's goal to focus on high-quality education, never changed till his last breath. In October 2015, Sir Chaudhry left this world. His family's last words to him was a promise to continue his mission and vision with the same compassion that he had for education.
Today, his children Imran Chaudhry, Azra Malik, Shazia Chaudhry and Dr.Sadia Amir, under the guidance of Ms. Rashida Chaudhry continue with their father's vision and taking Shaheen Public School and College to the next level.
